The ROYAL GORGE QUILT COUNCIL
of Caņon City, Colorado

WELCOMES YOU

Come in and get acquainted...

Purpose of this council is to assist in preserving the heritage of quilting, to be a source of education and information, and to encourage a high standard of excellence in quilting and related arts.

Members receive an official newsletter prior to by-monthly meetings; which are the second Saturday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep and Nov at the Golden Age Center, 728 Main St. The meeting agenda includes the business meeting, door prizes, Bring-N-Brag, refreshments and a program. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. Meetings are called at order at 9:30AM. Our yearly dues are $15.00. Guests are always welcome. The guest fee for each meeting is $3.00.

Each year the members design and construct a raffle quilt. The raffle drawing is at the November meeting. The winners do not need to be present to win. The winner is contacted and the quilt is sent to the address of their choice. The proceeds from the raffle are used for workshops and lectures by nationally known teachers.

In October of each year our Annual Quilt Exhibit is one of the main attractions at the Fremont Center for the Arts.
